Relaxing by the Garden

Yesterday, as I watch the NFL in my iPad at the gazebo, I was looking at the bare space by the wooden fence. I was thinking of planting okra. My okra seedling is growing and I will plant them on that side by the fence on the weekend. Hubby loves Okra and I am not a fan of slimy vegies. Okra is certainly not my favorite.

By next week, I will start growing my seedling for bokchoy (pechay). One plant at a time because I am not too thrilled to visit my garden since Summer. Too hot to hang out at the backyard but, it's September so; expect that I will tend my garden more often. Can't wait for cool weather here in Florida.

Roses in Blooms

I got these lovely Roses bloom today. Pretty right? There's two of them and smells sweet. I love roses and I have 3 kinds so far. I want to plant different kinds of roses in my garden because it is easy to maintain and it can thrive a scorching heat.

Fragrant Lemon Flowers

My garden change my mood and it always inspires me. Seeing the birds, the produce and the blooms truly makes my day happy. Have you ever wondered how a lemon flower looks like? I have a lemon tree and its about three feet tall and it bears fruit already.  About several weeks ago, flowers started to bloom in my lemon tree so; I took this photo. The blossoms begin to grow in winter and bloom in full in spring and summer. That is the reason why, I have been seeing these blooms because its springtime now. As you can see, the flower is white with purple base. There are 5 petals  in each flower and it smells good.

I will post the photo of the tiny fruit that comes out from this flower on my next post. My garden smells good because of the blooms of my 3 citrus trees.

New and Beautiful Mailbox

When we moved to our new house 2 months ago, the driveway was busy with our two cars and the cars of the contractors that we hired. Sometimes, we park our cars on the side of our property giving a space for the contractors. One afternoon, my husband accidentally ran over the post of the mailbox. Bamboo Can Create a Good Backyard Ambiance

Speaking of Bamboo? Back in PI, my mom has a land property located in the hinterland. Part of the land is on uphill so; my grandparents planted bamboo. It's just sitting there and my uncle used some of it for the fence. He harvested some and sell them too. But, it's really affordable in the PI. Rose Garden

I am excited to move to our new place and start my rose garden. This is easy to maintain and will thrive even in winter here in Florida.

This bloom was taken in the garden of my father-in-law while we live with him in Mississippi. The rose plants are still there when we visited last month. The house was sold to a nice family.
