Bill and Cathi lived in Oregon and both are Educators by profession. At present they own a ranch and they are farmers. Though they are the oldest casts in Amazing Race, they compete well and they always finish in a good spot.
They are highly intellectuals and they are also sports enthusiasts. Meaning, if there are physical tasks, they can accomplish it well. I like them too because they do not yell to each other and they do not put a blame on one another. They just enjoy the competition.
The first episode of the Amazing Race Season 19 was aired last night. The 11 new teams will compete the race around the world for the big prize 1Million Dollars! The race started at the foothills of a temple in California.
Ernie Halvorsen (project manager) and Cindy Chiang (brand manager) from Chicago are the first team to arrive on the pit stop and they got the express pass which they can use before or after the 8 league of the race. They have the advance among the other teams because of that express pass. The teams drive the Ford Explorer towards the airport heading to Taipie, Taiwan which is the first league of the race.
Bill Alden, a retired teacher and Cathy Alden a retired principal from Albany, Oregon came as the last team to arrive at the pit stop. It was hard for them to figure out the clue "look up". There was a big screen with the word written in Chinese but, they did not read the instructions correctly. So, they spent time roaming to the tallent building and even went up to the top floor. The clue was on the commerce area. They got the clue right!
Despite all that, they are still in the game because the first league is non-elimination. But, on the next league of the race, there will be a double elimination round! The first in the history of the game. Who is your favorite team? I still have to watch the next episode to chose my favorites.
Karl Sponholtz is the second placer of the HGTV's Season 6 Search for the next Design Star. He is 42 years old and studied Architecture at the University of Chicago. He was my favorite designer on their batch because I love his work. If he will pursue this profession, I think he will excel at it.
When it comes to talent and ideas, Karl has it and I hope he will pursue his passion. Good luck Karl.

A graduate of Bachelor of Architecture at UP, hailed from General Santos City (Manny Pacquiao's hometown) is truly a remarkable person. During the Q & A portion, she answered her question with poise and conviction that she will not change her religion to marry someone she love. As a Catholic myself, her answer was totally powerful. It is part of our culture and religion is very important.

Being in the Church Choir in High School and Glee Club in College, music is my soul and I miss it in every waking moment of my life. My lifestyle now is different basically because of who I am associated with. That is why, when my husband and I visited FishLips Bar and Grill at Port Canaveral earlier, I was overwhelmed to see the lady with the guitar. When she started singing, she had that soulful voice, so relaxing that I could stay there for hours just listen to her music. Three tables were occupied inside the area where we are and later on was joined by a family of 5 but, the smoking area were so crowded.

I am one of those Sandra Bullock fans who were mad upon knowing that her husband in real life was a big cheater. It broke my heart to learn how he treated her so badly. Anyway, I love all her movies because she is my favorite actress and she makes me laugh especially in The Proposal. The story is about Margaret Tate played by Sandra Bullock, a book editor who is a domineering boss of Andrew Paxton played by Ryan Reynolds.
When she learns she's in danger of losing her visa status and being deported, Margaret Tate forces herself to her assistant, Andrew Paxton, to marry her. The director of this movie is Anne Fletcher who also directed the movie 27 Dresses. This is a romantic comedy movie that is why I love it. Also starring is Craig T. Nelson and Mary Steenburgen as Andrew's parents, and Betty White as the outspoken and clever Grandma Annie.
Did you know that even if the setting of the movie is in Alaska, in real life, it was actually shoot in Rockport, Massachusetts? OMG! I want to visit that place. That's an awesome view!
Oh by the way, did you know that before Sandra Bullock, this movie was turned down by my other favorite actress Julia Roberts? Yep! Okay, if you haven't watched this movie, watch it! I was watching "I Shouldn't Be Alive", a TV show from Animal Planet Channel which is based from a real life story of people who encountered near death experiences. Usually, it happened on a mountain climbing, rock climbing, and other outdoor activities. Mountaineers attempt to climb the highest peak of the mountain is a rewarding achievement. But, the danger in this type of activity is many. The weather condition play vital in the success of each climb. Imagine a rockfall and avalanches? That was what happened to two friends who went rock climbing. It was heartbreaking to know that they spent 10 days freezing to death. They suffered hypothermia and fatigue.
Honestly, I am not into adrenalin rush and I will never put myself in a situation where I will indanger myself with the following hazards: falling rocks, falling ice, snow-avalanches, falling from the cliff, falls from ice slopes and falls down snow slopes. If I am drag into this situation, it's not according to my own free-will!
Anyway, I just admire the survival technique of the survivors. They are strong-willed and very determined to stay focus and to stay alive. What an awesome show!
Have you heard bad publicity about Selena Gomez? I bet not! Aside from the hateful messages from jealous fans of Justin Bieber, Selena is doing great in her career. I was watching one of her long TV interview while promoting her latest movie titled Monte Carlo.
She came from Texas particularly in Grand Prairie. Her mom is of Italian descent and her father is a Mexican-American. At an early age, her mother becomes a single mom who had three jobs at one time to support Selena. They go to a dollar store to fill their pantry, so normal and ordinary family who have big dreams. When Selena started going to school, she already had a TV show as Gianna in Barney and Friends. Her school life is not fun and she was subject to bullies. She would come home crying and one time hated school. I can't blame her for that. Look at her now! A successful young lady and still have so many milestones to make. One of the good girl in Hollywood and I am hoping that she will continue in this career path and follow her dreams. Stay away from bad influence Selena and continue being the inspiration of the young and teens.
I was watching the marathon movie regarding the Mayan Prophecy from all sources and it gives me chills. The world will definitely end but, we will never know when it will happen. Predictions served us an awakening that we should co-exist, we should love one another and live according to what balances the nature! If the world ends, humanity will vanish! Watch the movie 2012, it's pretty interesting! By the way, this is the theme song of that movie!

The pride of the State of Georgia, Lauren Alaina is one of the Finalists vying for American Idol 2011. She will turn 17 on November, a cheerleader and a sophomore student at Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.
When she visited her hometown in Georgia, she was heart broken to see the tornado damage of Rossville last April 27, 2011. Here, she was crying because she recalled her memories of a school where she had some activities before.
She was sobbing and I for one was amazed to see how a beautiful place turned into rubbles of wood. I was touched by her compassion which undoubtedly so real!
Honestly? I voted for her many times during the casting of votes for top 3. I was so glad that she was in and I hope she will win.
