The head of the family is the overseer of the family problems and that includes budgetting, paying the bills, delegating work, providing the needs of every member of the family.

Say, there was a problem like delegating the work at home. Some members of the family did not attend to their supposed work.

The overseer just leave the problem unsolved and went to a vacation.

The overseer came back after 9 days still, did not do something about the problem.

He then suggested another rule in the house like scheduling who can use the extra car at certain time.

Some members of the family tried to tell him about the unsolve problem. He just look at them as if it doesn't really matter.

If the going gets tough, he blame it to everyone in the house but, not himself!

Then, to get away with all the tension in the house, he went out and enjoy the beach and play the golf!

Dogs in the Parade

These pictures were taken during the Mardi Gras Parade in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. I had happy memories when I think of a Mardi Gras Celebration. In fact, I remember the moon pie, the beads, families in groups, food, barbeque and burgers and family gatherings Fresh from the holiday celebration and community such as this one gets together well.Anyway, we attended almost all the Mardi Gras Parade in most cities such as Ocean Springs, Biloxi, Pascagoula and Past Christian in Mississippi and one time in New Orleans. That Mardi Gras in New Orleans was a huge parade and so much fun. Parties all over the French Quarter attendies were thousands.Animals are considered members of the family so; here they are bragging their beauties. Some of these dogs are really huge and gigantic! They are bigger than I am. I wanted to be in Mississippi during the Mardi Gras next year too.

I am one of those Sandra Bullock fans who were mad upon knowing that her husband in real life was a big cheater. It broke my heart to learn how he treated her so badly. Nelson and Mary Steenburgen as Andrew's parents, and Betty White as the outspoken and clever Grandma Annie.Did you know that even if the setting of the movie is in Alaska, in real life, it was actually shoot in Rockport, Massachusetts? OMG! I want to visit that place. That's an awesome view!Oh by the way, did you know that before Sandra Bullock, this movie was turned down by my other favorite actress Julia Roberts? Yep! Okay, if you haven't watched this movie, watch it! Old movies are good to watch over and over again. Here are the characters of this movie: Sandra Bullock, Ryan Reynolds, Mary Steenburgen, Betty White, Craig T. So Much Mourning

I saw these pictures awhile ago while watching the news on Fox. I googled dog nearby a casket and there, I snipped the pictures. This is a painful sight! I wonder what was it like when they are together and what was their daily routine.He is mourning and he is aware of what's going on. I met a dog back when I was in Mississippi. I was on the garden and he just came right at my back. He was bigger than me so; I was so afraid. When I look at his eyes, he was harmful and he tried to befriend me. He wanders the neighborhood everyday and he visit us all the time. One morning, I found out he got tricks, can crawl, roll over, and understood simple commands. My husband and I never really know where he came from but knowing his skills, a military man must own him one time.I just hope that this dog will have someone to love him as much as his previous buddy. I thought that it was so weird on the Bachelorette this season when I realized that the guy who I thought was the same person was actually two guys who looked almost identical. I can't be the only eon that thought that Ben and Constantine looked like twins! It was kind of eerie, especially because they both made it pretty far along in the process. I thought that after the Bachelorette was all said and done this season, I would write a blog post about it for my blog.

While I was looking online to see if any other reality TV bloggers caught on to that too, I ran across the website http://www.DomainNames.com. After I read through that some I decided to buy a URL on there to move my blog over to my own website, which is something that I've been considering for a while.

I did find several other blogs talking about that. I knew that I wasn't the only one! It's so weird that the producers cast two guys that look so much alike.

Breakfast at Cracker Barrel

We had our breakfast at Cracker Barrel today. Our friend just arrived yesterday from her long vacation at North Carolina. This restaurant is one of my favorite places to go for breakfast because after the meal, I can go to their shop and buy some knickknacks and candies.I ordered butter pancake with pure natural syrup and a hot chocolate for a change. I still love to eat steamed rice and fish for breakfast but, you can't find that in a restaurant for breakfast. Anyway, I enjoyed my pancakes and my hot chocolate today. Hubby ordered biscuits and gravy while our friend ordered eggs in sunny side up with bacon and sourdough. We have a wonderful breakfast today in this rainy morning because of Hurricane Irene. We saw black clouds bringing rain bands. It will not hit Orlando but will have a landfall towards North Carolina and Long Island New York. Please be safe people!

Look at the picture below, isn't it cute? Dogs are part of the family in fact; most of our friends treat them as one of the kids. In my workplace before, one of my co-workers made her dog as the heir of her assets when she dies. That goes to show how important dogs are to people. I have no pets at home but, I am fond of them when I visited friend's house. We have a favorite dog that we call Rusty and he is huge and so beautiful. Farewell Millie

This is a poem by Kirsti A. Dyer, MD, MS from Journey of Hearts A Healing Place in CyberSpace. This is my tribute to a friend that will be missed by all of us. Remnants

This is the old bridge that connects Biloxi and Ocean Springs Mississippi. It looks like a toy tossed in this area. Actually, this is the remnants of the Hurricane Katrina. Gulf Coast of Mississippi was one of the severely hit by the hurricane and it levelled most of the places in Biloxi and nearby places.This remnant of the bridge is still there. You can see it if you pass the new bridge on Highway 90. It is located at the back of The Palace Hotel and Casino.

Consult Your Doctor

When the lining of our stomach becomes inflamed then, we have gastritis. What causes gastritis? Some reasons are excessive alcohol consumption and prolonged use of aspirin or buffer. If you have infection like after a major surgery, you can be vulnerable with gastritis.

I know you have heard about the procedure called banding where they basically control the intake of food into your stomach. Gastritis could be a byproduct of this procedure. Also, if you have had some type of surgery on your digestive track, this could lead to gastritis. Stress can be a major cause of developing gastritis too. The most common symptom is a constant upset stomach with pain. If you are having a re-occurring indigestion along with feeling nauseous and vomiting, these could also be major symptoms of gastritis. Make an appointment with your doctor right away. There are several test that can be given to determine if you have gastritis. A blood count test, a normal blood test, or they may even test your stool to determine if you have this condition.

The treatment could be as simple as taking anti-acids or other types of medicine such as antibiotics. Your doctor might also suggest that you refrain from eating heavily spiced food or hot food such as Chile. The extreme treatment would be to take B12 injections. If you just have a mild case of gastritis over-the-counter medicines would be a common treatment. If you have unexplained weight loss or feeling full after only eating a small portion of food, you should visit a doctor. Contact your physician and go for a complete blood count test as to determine your condition.

Our Rest House

Seriously? This is a house located by the lake of Conway here in Orlando. I call it our rest house because when our friends travel for a vacation to Bahamas, Mexico, Caribbean Island and other tourists destination all over the world, they would call us and say to have a sleep in for the night. Our friend works in Delta Airlines and as an employee of airline company, they are FREE to travel all over the world anytime and anywhere! OMG! I want that life!This house is facing the lake. When I walk their dog at night, I really had to look around so carefully afraid that a gator might had come out from the lake and look for food. I do not want myself to be dragged and eaten by gators, nope! Anyway, I only see one gator here so far and a snake swimming down the lake.

Officer Henwood's Final Act of Kindness

What are the chances of not being killed in a war zone? Life is too risky especially if you are in a tour of duty assigned in Iraq or Afghanistan. The picture below is Jeremy Henwood, a Captain in the Marine Corps Reserves, a 36 years old, served three tours of duty. He came back to US mainland safe and he served as a police officer for four years in San Diego Police Department.He was shot and killed last Aug.6, 2011. This incident gives us a lesson that no matter where we are, there is danger. He did not die in the hands of the enemy in Afghanistan or Iraq. He died here in the safe land of the US. When they traced back where he was, the most remarkable surveillance video was viewed! He was seen with a stranger boy going inside McDonald's and the final act of kindness was he bought him cookies! The boy was later interviewed that he approached Officer Henwood and asked for 10 cents. Officer Henwood asked him what he would do for 10 cents and he replied he would buy a cookie. The Officer said he will not give him 10 cents instead, he will buy him cookies. The boy further said that the Officer advised him with the importance of hard work since the boy told the officer that he wanted to become an NBA when he grow up. Less than 5 minutes later, 6 blocks from Mc Donalds, a suicidal man pulled on the side of Officer Henwood's car and shot him with a shotgun with NO REASONS at all. He was just at the wrong place at the wrong time. Officer Jeremy Henwood died at dawn time the next day. A good man , a good deed and the final act of kindness. May he rest in peace!

Two months ago, we went to the office of the Title Company to get the key of the condo that we bought. They gave us all the legal documents of the property after finishing some final documents signing . It went well and in less than 15 minutes, we are out of the office with the key of the condo, our first rental income property. Our realtor is a Filipino and I just saw him online while searching for homes in Orlando. Basically, he is an American because he's been here in the US since the 80's but, was so glad with his motivation and dedication. In fact, we bought two properties being him as the realtor and it went smoothly every time. We can't wait to purchase another rental property and since the real estate plummeted downhill, this is buyers delight. I hope, you all will realize that and this is the right time to buy your dream home. This week, our realtor will show us three properties and we are so excited!

Visiting New Orleans

Visiting the largest city of Louisiana was a different experience for me. The city is full of charm and the culture is very interesting. The picture below was taken nearby French Quarter, it's a world renowned place because it's the oldest neighborhood of New Orleans. See the old building design? That's common in this place. Big buildings in New Orleans can be seen as you get closer to the city and it looks grand.Here's one of their busy streets and mostly it is one way, a bit confusing so; arm yourself with a map.Make sure that when you visit New Orleans, you should park in a safe parking lot and do not leave valuable things inside and that includes GPS.They have a huge crowded shopping mall, full of tourists located nearby the Harrah's Hotel.There are hotels and casino in the area but, most of them are expensive per night. Since we live nearby just less than 2 hours, so we really did not stay in the hotel.I love this city specially walking on the French Quarter and play the slot machines at Harrah's. There's another world in that hotel and you should check it out. Their buffet was unbelievable! So many food to choose from at affordable price.On the next visit, I would like to attend the mass in the Catholic Church. You should see it. The design inside the church is truly the work of art.Visit New Orleans during Mardi Gras and you will be amazed how grand it is!Street performers are so many so, if you request them to play for you, you are obliged to give something. Most of them are demanding so, better not ask. Just a tip though.

Raising the Debt Ceiling

Debt Ceiling? That is a serious negotiation of the government for the past weeks now. Republican and Democrats! Oh, I do refrain from talking about politics! I will not talk about that. I will just focus on my financial capability as an individual.

Back in PI, I have only one card because every time I apply, I was not qualified! As simple as that and I have no regrets! It would mean, less card equals less credit! I usually loan money from friends though and my financial status had been like that most of the time simply because I have obligation and bills to pay. Having one source of income, that is really hard to meet both ends. But, I did manage well even though, I live according to my means.

Presently, I admit I own credit cards and I am a responsible card holder. In the US, credit history is very important and Good rating is very important!

Just like a Country, a triple A rating is very important! Status symbol perhaps?

Since I have a good rating, I keep getting credit card offers from different banks. But, it's up to me to add more or not! I decided not to add more. My credit limit is already high which I really don't use much. I know in my heart, if I use it, it is NOT MY MONEY but a CREDIT which I will eventually pay!

Can I request for a higher credit limit? Of course, I can! But, why should I do that? I will not request for a higher credit limit because I am not planning to use all my credit. After all, it is credit and it is not my money!

Now, US credit rating was downgraded to AA from triple A. America is a rich country. Why do they borrow money from China anyway?
