A Christmas Card From the Prison

We got this Christmas card today and it came from a woman who is in a Federal Prison Facility. Her crime is minor but, she was convicted for 6 years in prison. She served a year now and so far, she managed to go on from a day to day basis. Her life in prison is tough because she is away from her husband and family. She is away from all the comforts of life. But, she learn the hard way and she accepted the fact that she made a wrong decision. This Christmas, we should remember the people who are sick in the hospital and those who are in prison. For me, as long as they change their ways and they strive to become a better person, we should not judge them. They deserve a second chance. They too needs to feel the Spirit of Christmas. If you have friends and family who are in prison, visit them and give them a simple gift. That is precious for this Christmas season. Merry Christmas everyone!

Thank God for Thoughtful Friends

Friends and family are God's gift! For this season of joy, I am blessed with thoughtful friends and family who shared their faith and love for Christmas time. Thank you Jake, Matt and Cecile for this wonderful card that you sent to both of us. One of the good hearted blogger that I have known since I started blogging in 2008. A very good mentor! I treasured your friendship dear Cecille. (hugs)! May God bless you the good health for the years to come. I wish that God will bless your family with joy, laughters, peace of mind, excellent health and financial security. I thank God for you. Thanks for remembering me this holiday. Merry Christmas and have a wonderful New Year!

It's Christmas!

Hello everyone! It is the first day of December and I can feel the spirit of Christmas already! Are you excited? Christmas is the most awaited celebration in the calendar because most of us celebrate Christmas even the non-believers joins the celebration! It is the time of reunion, family get-together, gift giving and just being with the person you love, right? I went home to PI last year and I celebrate my Christmas in my place but, I was too busy that I missed some of the tradition of this season. The next time that I will come home, I will make sure that it will be for a vacation.Anyway, these are the pictures that I took at the gate of our village. Grand Europa Village always put up nice Christmas decorations at the gate and some of the trees along the main road side throughout the village.
I am only using my blackberry phone so; some of the pictures are blurry.
The details of the decorations are beautiful and since they do this every year, if you are in Cagayan de Oro City, take time to visit this place. You will love the Christmas decoration of our village.
Merry Christmas to one and all!

Time For Miracles:2012 Soundtract

I was watching the marathon movie regarding the Mayan Prophecy from all sources and it gives me chills. The world will definitely end but, we will never know when it will happen. Predictions served us an awakening that we should co-exist, we should love one another and live according to what balances the nature! If the world ends, humanity will vanish! Watch the movie 2012, it's pretty interesting! By the way, this is the theme song of that movie!

by: Johannes, Alain; Shneider, Natasha;

It's late at night, and I can't sleep
Missing you just runs too deep
Oh I can't breathe, thinking of your smile

Every kiss I can't forget
This aching heart ain't broken yet
Oh God, I wish I could make you see

'Cause I know this flame isn't dying
So nothing can stop me from trying

Baby you know that maybe it's time for miracles
'Cause I ain't giving up on love
You know that maybe it's time for miracles
'Cause I ain't giving up on love
No, I ain't giving up on us

I just want to be with you
'Cause living is so hard to do
When all I know is trapped inside your eyes

The future I cannot forget
This aching heart ain't broken yet
Oh God I wish I could make you see

'Cause I know this flame isn't dying
So nothing can stop me from trying

Baby you know that maybe it's time for miracles
'Cause I ain't giving up on love
You know that maybe it's time for miracles
'Cause I ain't giving up on love

Baby can you feel it coming?
You know I can hear it, hear every soul
Baby, when you feel me feeling you
You know it's time

Baby you know that maybe it's time for miracles
'Cause I ain't giving up on love
You know that maybe it's time for miracles
'Cause I ain't giving up on love

No, I ain't giving up
No, I ain't giving up on us

Are You An Atheist?

It is hard to become a fisher of man! Right now, I have these goals in life: To Know and Praise God, To do good Deeds and Respect others! I do believe in God! So, when I encountered people who doesn't, I don't pushed my own views! This week, I met someone who says, "I have problems with Catholics, because they pray images and statues". Here we go again but, I don't want to debate about Religion 101. If you are an Atheist, my response is this story: A man went to a barbershop to have
his hair cut and his beard trimmed.
As the barber began to work,
they began to have a good conversation.
They talked about so many things
and various subjects.

When they eventually touched on
the subject of God, the barber said:
"I don't believe that God exists."

"Why do you say that?"
asked the customer.

"Well, you just have to go out in
the street to realize that God
doesn't exist. Tell me, if God exists,
would there be so many sick people?
Would there be abandoned children?
If God existed, there would be neither
suffering nor pain.
I can't imagine loving a God who
would allow all of these things."

The customer thought for a moment,
but didn't respond because he didn't
want to start an argument.
The barber finished his job and the customer
left the shop.
Just after he left the barbershop,
he saw a man in the street with long,
stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed
beard. He looked dirty and unkept.
The customer turned back and entered
the barber shop again and he said
to the barber: "You know what? Barbers do not exist."

"How can you say that?"
asked the surprised barber.
"I am here, and I am a barber.
And I just worked on you!"

"No!" the customer exclaimed.
"Barbers don't exist because
if they did, there would be no
people with dirty long hair
and untrimmed beards,
like that man outside."

"Ah, but barbers DO exist!
What happens is, people
do not come to me."

"Exactly!"-
affirmed the customer.
"That's the point!
God, too, DOES exist!
What happen is, people
don't go to Him
and do not look for Him.
That's why there's so much pain
and suffering in the world."

A Conversation with God by Marcia Ford

A Conversation with God is a well written book which comprises topic on God, Jesus, the Bible, Life, Prayer, Relationships and, Good and Evil. The author points out basic questions and provide answers based from the Bible. Questions like: "God, why don't you just reveal yourself ?" and "Is there a purpose to Life ? " This book provides the common questions which women might have asked. The author used the amazing passages and stories from the Bible to relate an answer from the raised questions.I read the books of Saint Thomas Aquinas and it is basically the same as to asking questions and provide answers based from the Bible and facts from history. I still have that book and reads it when I needed spiritual enlightenment. In comparison to "Conversations with God", the author uses the "first person" mode of narration. That is the only set back for me because even though I believe that God loves me, words spoken doesn't inspire me completely

Over all, I will recommend this book to all of you because the reflections are realistic and the topic is subtask to get the zest of each conversations. If you are looking for a book about "Spiritual Growth and Christian Thought" , this is just right for you. You can buy this book in AMAZON for a reasonable price.
