At the Boatramp Along Port Saint John

Just 5 minutes from our place is a boat ramp along Indian River. It is a nice place to watch the sunrise and Manatee too. We went there today to watch manatee but, we had no luck. Look what showed up.

An ibis on the bench where I was seated.

See the sign out there, the Manatee Zone. From time to time, manatee shows up here.

The flock of ibis fishing. You will not believe how plentiful the fishes here. You will see them jumping.

Here we are, parked and watch the awesome view here.

The ibis busy surveying the place.

They caught some tiny fishes. Just awesome to watch them find their food here. How about you? Do you see animals around your neighborhood? Thanks for stopping by.

Small Sharks Caught

Here in Florida, the shark population is totally diverse. Shark species range in sizes from few feet to more than 40 feet in total length according to a study. All sea-goers are being warned about this fact. Sea-goers should beware of sharks 6 feet or longer because the damage they can cause in a single bite is really dangerous.

Among the species that grow big and have been known to attack humans are bull sharks, tiger sharks and great white sharks. Unfortunately, that is the reason that I am chicken to go swimming on the beach. According to the experts, these type of sharks are not predominant so; beach-goers or sea-goers are unlikely to come across these sharks in Florida waters.

Anyway, I am not an expert with sharks so; I do not know what species these were. I forgot to ask the man in-charge. I heard him say that these sharks will never grow more than what they are. Meaning, these are not baby sharks and these are fully grown sharks in their species. Most of the passengers/guests were requesting them to fillet the sharks. Yes, these can be eaten.

Water Sports Activity on A Sunday

We stayed on the outdoor yesterday. We went as far as the South Atlantic almost to the Satellite Beach. We have our beach chairs set up and just enjoying the breeze from the Atlantic ocean. I did not swim because the heat was a scorcher. After two hours, hubby and I decided to go to the mall and shop a little bit. We head back home and relax. After sundown, we went back to the beach and this time, we went to Cocoa Beach and stayed there up to 8PM.

While driving by the neighborhood by the river and canal that heads out to the sea, hubby and I thought that buying a jet ski is reasonable. We live 5 minutes away by the Indian River and on a Sunday, water sports activity is truly busy down the river and the beach. Some families went out for boating, jet skiing, fishing, water gliding, canoeing, kayaking and many more. Now, hubby is thinking to buy a jet ski, I love the idea for sure.
