When people talk about pets and furry friends, I was so detached. Not that
I don't like pets. Don't get me wrong but the reality was, I just cant
relate. ...

Beads and Mardi Gras
Here I am once again, sharing the photos for Tuesday Travels. I would like to thank you all for visiting my post last week and for the comments. I can't wait to visit your blogs and see the places you've been to this week.
These photos were taken last February when we went to Mississippi for Mardi Gras Parades in Ocean Springs, Biloxi and D'Iberville.
We love visiting Mississippi because of the country setting, amazing view of the Gulf Coast, awesome beach, the taste of crawfish, gumbo and blue crabs.
This particular parade was in D'Iberville, one of the biggest Mardi Gras Parades happen here.
From the beginning to end, the krewes on the decorative floats throw beads to the crowd.
They also throw moon pies, stuff toys, and other stuffs.
Basically, the people go to the parade to see the different floats with lavish decors, catch the beads, have fun and get together with family. I am having fun here LOL.
It is a big tradition in the South particularly in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.
The picture above is the picture of my family.
I love Mardi Gras and I love catching beads. I send those beads back home. Have you been to a Mardi Gras? Go visit New Orleans, it's spectacular! See you in your blog.

Dogs in the Parade
These pictures were taken during the Mardi Gras Parade in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. I had happy memories when I think of a Mardi Gras Celebration. In fact, I remember the moon pie, the beads, families in groups, food, barbeque and burgers and family gatherings Fresh from the holiday celebration and community such as this one gets together well.
Anyway, we attended almost all the Mardi Gras Parade in most cities such as Ocean Springs, Biloxi, Pascagoula and Past Christian in Mississippi and one time in New Orleans. That Mardi Gras in New Orleans was a huge parade and so much fun. Parties all over the French Quarter attendies were thousands.
Animals are considered members of the family so; here they are bragging their beauties. Some of these dogs are really huge and gigantic! They are bigger than I am. I wanted to be in Mississippi during the Mardi Gras next year too.

The Mardi Gras Parade
These pictures were taken last year in Ocean Springs, Mississippi during the Mardi Gras Parade. Oh I love Mardi Gras, the beads, the food and the jolly faces of people.
January and February months are so chilly but, when we are involved with catching beads, it changes the atmosphere.
If the parade were scheduled in the evening, it's so chilly especially when it's windy. Most people have snuggies and cuddle up with throw blankets.
During Mardi Gras, we love to catch up the parade in the nearby cities. Hubby and I did as far as New Orleans. Gezzz...it was crazy in French Quarter. If you hate crowds, don't go to Mardi Gras in Louisiana.
Mao kini ang akong entry karong semanaha. Sa letrang P para sa PARADA. Salamat sa pagbisita mga Bisdak nga gwapa.
