#PaulWalker Dead at 40

What a sad day to end the month of November. It was in nydailynews.com that I read the news for the first time. I can't believe it. I checked my Twitter feeds and Paul Walker was already trending. Paul Walker dead at 40. This headline must be hard for all the fans. As I was reading the latest news, I can say that there was an uncertainty. Most of the fans insisted that it is a hoax. Until, the official twitter site of Paul Walker publish this:

"It's with a heavy heart that we must confirm Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident...MORE: http://on.fb.me/1bzn8gD - #TeamPW "

I tried checking online and saw that Wikipedia already added Nov. 30, 2013 in Paul Walker's profile. Even the local news channels confirmed that Paul Walker died in a tragic accident.

I searched for Paul Walker's Facebook and saw this post as well:

"It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide. He was a passenger in a friend's car, in which both lost their lives. We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news. Thank you for keeping his family and friends in your prayers during this very difficult time. We will do our best to keep you apprised on where to send condolences. - #TeamPW"

Rest in Peace Paul Walker. You are a great guy on cam and off cam. Your legacy of helping others is beyond amazing. Thank you for extending your time attending charities to raise funds for relief efforts. In behalf of the Filipinos, thank you for extending your  help to the Philippines. You are an angel and may you rest in peace.

Santa Claus and Christmas Ornaments

Is it too early to decorate for Christmas? I tell you what, it doesn't matter if you put up your Christmas tree before or after thanksgiving. It is up to you and your family tradition. In my neighborhood, Three of us already set up the outdoor Christmas lights. My Christmas tree is up since Sunday and all the Christmas ornaments are dangling loosely and happily by the tree, hehehe.

Each year, I always buy Santa Claus and one favorite ornament on which became our tradition for 5 years. This year, I plan to buy another Santa Claus but, it came with Mrs Claus.

This is Eskimo Santa, cool ensemble he got huh?

This is a mouse conductor named Mr. Christmas, an interactive and sound ornament. Mr Christmas is a voice recognition Christmas Tree ornament.

Here is another Santa but, on a stilts. He is funny because sometimes I let him have a split under the Christmas tree.

I love the color celadon green that is why; I am attracted to this Santa. I may not like his beard but, his whole outfit is very nice.

Okay, that's all for now. I need to take a power nap for tomorrow. Sister- in-law and family from Mississippi is here in Florida and will be coming over for an early Thanksgiving dinner. Hubby and I are excited! Thanks for stopping by and Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

The Epic Split of Jean-Claude Van Damme

I've had my ups and downs,
my fair share of bumpy roads and heavy winds,
that's what made me what I am today,
now I stand here before you,
what you see is a body crafted to perfection,
a pair of legs engineered to defy the laws of physics,
and the mindset to master the most epic of splits.
-Jean-Claude Van Damme

If you haven't viewed the famous "Epic Split" of Van Damme then, here's the clip. After watching it, tell me, what is your opinion about the stunt? Do you think he uses harness for protection? The video went viral on the Web. #Volvo Trucks has released the video on YouTube showing him doing the splits between two reversing trucks. As of today, it has 30 million viewers since the first released/published on November 13, 2013.
The engineer behind this amazing stunt is Jan-Enge Svensson. The music embedded in this video is "Only Time" from Enya. It is the same soundtrack used in my favorite movie "Sweet November" starring Keanu Reeves and Charlize Theron.

Thank You for your Thoughts and Prayers for the Philippines

I am overwhelmed with so many phone calls from our American friends and family here in the US asking about the condition of my family in the #Philippines. Thank you so much for the thoughts and from the bottom of my heart, thank you ... means a lot to me. My family, relatives, and friends are all fine and safe. My family lives in Northern Mindanao as shown in the red arrow below. I appreciate your caring thoughts and earnest prayers. Please continue to pray for the victims in this tragic event. May God bless the survivors the strength, patience and understanding amidst this trials and tribulation. God bless everyone.

Halloween Masks

Okay, these are the masks that we used on Halloween. We did not use it the whole time while giving out candies. We do not want to scare the kids away LOL. This is Yoda and this mask is a bit expensive. This is more or less $35 but, I got this for free.

Believe it or not, this mask is only a $1. I bought this in a dollar store.

This is Jason and yes, this is also a $1 mask from a dollar store.

We only have about 45 trick-or-treaters this year, wondering where the kids go. Last year it was about 85. Hoping that next year, there will be more. How about in your place?

Why Giraffes Profile Became Viral in Facebook

You should have noticed by now that most of your Facebook friends profile has changed into Giraffe. It's all because of the wrong answer they provide to a Riddle that they were tagged or entered into. It is just for fun and this game received a positive response from Facebook users.

What's a RIDDLE
A riddle is a statement, a question or a phrase which have a double meaning. It is a puzzle that needs to be solved and it is really tricky. It requires careful thinking for their solution. It could be enigmas, the type of problems expressed in metaphorical or allegorical. Enigmas are riddles that require ingenuity and careful thinking. A Riddle could be a conundra type which rely for their effects on the question or the answer.

Giraffe Riddle:
"It’s 3 a.m., the doorbell rings
and you wake up.
Unexpected visitors!
It’s your parents
and they are here for breakfast.
You have strawberry jam, honey, wine, bread and cheese.
What is the first thing you open?"

I have my answer and it is correct. Two answers are accepted anyway. What's yours?

The Sleepy Hollow Inn in Disney World

This is the Sleepy Hollow Inn in Disney World in Magic Kingdom. I took the photo because it reminded me of my favorite TV Series Sleepy Hollow on Fox. Do you watch it? If not, you should. It is different because the setting is present time. Full of action, adventure and full of awesome characters.

Anyway, we happen to pass by here and wandering in this area looking for turkey leg. Want to see how big my turkey leg was? On my next posts, check it here. Thanks for stopping by.

A Parishioner Named Jack

Every Sunday as hubby and I attended mass in Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Merritt Island, right after we opened the door, we always look forward to see the warm and welcoming smile from one of the parishioners who is seated at the ushers' seat. We always occupy on the last pew and this man, in his late 80's is seated at the back. Yesterday, his absence marked the 5th week.
For almost two years of attending Sunday masses on same time, parishioners usually seated on the same area every time. Like us, we are seated comfortably on the last pew. We recognized faces and most of the parishioners are really friendly but not to the extent of asking our names. Well, except for two, a Chinese lady and the man seated at the back. As we come in, we always shook his hands and say good morning.

One Sunday, as we headed to our seat, we shook his hands but, he stopped my hubby and asked his name. The next Sunday, he always addressed my husband by his name which is really nice. It might not be a big deal to some but for us, it feels great that he addressed my husband by his name. The man's name is Jack and he is a sports fan. He loves Football and Basketball. One time, he was talking to the usher about Football and Tim Tebow. His son, a heavy set and tall like him is always his companion and seated beside us most of the time. Jack is very friendly to everyone.

After the mass, hubby said to him, "See you next Sunday" and he replied, "I hope so." We all smile because usually, he would say, "Okay, see you next week".

We were worried for him and we hope he is in good health. May God bless you Jack.

Anyway, the quote above was shared by the musical director of the church. This is a reminder that we have the power to make a good deed. Do it today. God bless everyone.

Bad Weather on a Monday

On our third day in Disney World was totally fun! Why? Inside the park, we saw people all soaking wet of the rainstorm (remnants of #TSKaren) yet, they were still having fun, all smiles and had a great time. Oh yeah! We arrived in Disney parking lot when it's pouring rain so; when it slows down, we brought a folding umbrella with us. Some parents were very creative using the trash bags as rain coats. It was pretty neat.

We went in at 3PM and we drop by at Magic Kingdom, rode the boat, the monorail and twice the bus then, we went to Hollywood Studious. It was raining so bad but, thanks to our umbrella, we were all dry. As we drove home, the skies are still gloomy but, see the yellowish color? That's a pretty rainbow. Actually two rainbows are showing and it was my first time to see two rainbows forming in the sky. Amazing! As we drove the 528, it was raining so bad for few minutes. We arrived home safely and guess what? Our place is so dry.
