Food Craving

I was sick and I was hungry! When I check out my pantry, I know what to prepare. I had a bad headache for a week and I was off from my PC for days. It's hard to open my PC if I had a migraine plus alternating with rhinitis, ahhh it was agonizing. I woke up so hungry today because I lost my appetite for days. I was craving for "Binignit", it's a local food which the main ingredients are: plantain banana, coco milk and sweet potato. I did satisfy my craving with my home cooked binignit! BINIGNIT ang gikamingawan ko nga pagkaon. Naningkamot nalang ko tawon sa paghimo aron dili ko gutmon. Unsaon, nia man ko sa layo napadpad pag-panimpalad hehehe. Lamian nko nga Binignit, pastilan lami nalang para sa akoa kay wa man ako mama nga maoy magdigamo para sa akoa:-).

I'm humbled with all the blessings that I have. I miss the comfort food which I enjoyed back home. When we are away from home, we will miss the food---part of the culture. The only thing that you can do is to make it. Too much of a good thing makes us take for granted simple stuff around, right? Anyway, this is my entry for letter B. Hope you like it everyone!

Beautiful Sunrise

Trials make us vulnerable! We are but only humans, right? We have no super-power to switch on and shut down our feelings and senses! Problems can swallow us whole especially if we have no one to talk to and share our burden with. WAKE UP! If we let "the problems" rule over us, it will definitely knock us down and everything will turn-upside-down, what do you expect?

Whenever hubby heard this song in XM Radio, he would turn the volume up. He just loves the song and I don't see why. This is a sad song but full of hope and compassion to someone. This song was inspired by Jonathan Melvoin's death, a keyboardist of Smashing Pumpkin group who died of drug overdose. The melody would drive you to the world of serenity and bring you in a placid mood. If you happen to see the movie City of Angels starring Meg Ryan and Nicolas Cage, this song made it to the number 1 in the billboard chart. That movie is one of my favorites. I cried rivers at the end of the movie. Sigh!

A child's rendition of Jason Marz song of which he might not know how to sing it but, he can truly interpret it hehehe. Isn't he cute? Look at the chords he is making, it is absolutely the right one and the plucking is good considering his age:-) I can't help but admire his skills. Talking To God

My mother is the ultimate inspiration of my life. She taught me everything and she introduce God to my life even before I can see the world. When my mother was pregnant, she would hear mass every day with my 2 year old brother tagging along. Up to today, my mother never ceased to adore God and she always has a prayerful heart. I believed that for what I have become, it is because my mother brought us closer to God every waking moment of our lives.

Talking to God is not only those moments when I needed him. I talk to God when I am happy and there's no one to share it with. I talk to God not only when I am down but also when I am in my easy day. We need to talk to God every day.

I love Barry Manilow's voice and most of his musical composition. When I was in High School, those were the moments where I had crushes and hearing his lovesongs would transport me in another dimension----> the fantasy land of dreamers (wink...). This song is sad, don't you think? Are you in pain? You'll get through it! You can cry rivers and would swear you'll never find another one but hey, in 10 years or so you will never remember that pain. Live your life to the fullest and don't give up on loving someone. Somewhere out there, someone is praying that someone like you would come and that will really happen :-)

I heard the song for so long, I like it and loved hearing it on the radio. Would you believe that I just learned lately that this song was sung by Lady Antebellum? Yep! I am so passive and out of this world huh? I thought that this is an original song by The Glee. I heard it from them for the first time! I am so totally alienated from reality. Anyway, I love the lyrics and I love the melody! Oh by the way, I love the trio too!

Lady Antebellum: Charles Kelley who is the lead and background vocals, Dave Haywood the background vocals too, plays guitar, piano and mandolin, then the lead background vocal is Hillary Scott. This group formed in Nashville, Tennessee in 2006.

During the 53rd Grammy Award, the song NEED YOU NOW won the Best Country Album, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal and Best Country Song.
