The Sleepy Hollow Inn in Disney World

This is the Sleepy Hollow Inn in Disney World in Magic Kingdom. I took the photo because it reminded me of my favorite TV Series Sleepy Hollow on Fox. Do you watch it? If not, you should. It is different because the setting is present time. Full of action, adventure and full of awesome characters.

Anyway, we happen to pass by here and wandering in this area looking for turkey leg. Want to see how big my turkey leg was? On my next posts, check it here. Thanks for stopping by.

A Parishioner Named Jack

Every Sunday as hubby and I attended mass in Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Merritt Island, right after we opened the door, we always look forward to see the warm and welcoming smile from one of the parishioners who is seated at the ushers' seat. We always occupy on the last pew and this man, in his late 80's is seated at the back. Yesterday, his absence marked the 5th week.
For almost two years of attending Sunday masses on same time, parishioners usually seated on the same area every time. Like us, we are seated comfortably on the last pew. We recognized faces and most of the parishioners are really friendly but not to the extent of asking our names. Well, except for two, a Chinese lady and the man seated at the back. As we come in, we always shook his hands and say good morning.

One Sunday, as we headed to our seat, we shook his hands but, he stopped my hubby and asked his name. The next Sunday, he always addressed my husband by his name which is really nice. It might not be a big deal to some but for us, it feels great that he addressed my husband by his name. The man's name is Jack and he is a sports fan. He loves Football and Basketball. One time, he was talking to the usher about Football and Tim Tebow. His son, a heavy set and tall like him is always his companion and seated beside us most of the time. Jack is very friendly to everyone.

After the mass, hubby said to him, "See you next Sunday" and he replied, "I hope so." We all smile because usually, he would say, "Okay, see you next week".

We were worried for him and we hope he is in good health. May God bless you Jack.

Anyway, the quote above was shared by the musical director of the church. This is a reminder that we have the power to make a good deed. Do it today. God bless everyone.

Bad Weather on a Monday

On our third day in Disney World was totally fun! Why? Inside the park, we saw people all soaking wet of the rainstorm (remnants of #TSKaren) yet, they were still having fun, all smiles and had a great time. Oh yeah! We arrived in Disney parking lot when it's pouring rain so; when it slows down, we brought a folding umbrella with us. Some parents were very creative using the trash bags as rain coats. It was pretty neat.

We went in at 3PM and we drop by at Magic Kingdom, rode the boat, the monorail and twice the bus then, we went to Hollywood Studious. It was raining so bad but, thanks to our umbrella, we were all dry. As we drove home, the skies are still gloomy but, see the yellowish color? That's a pretty rainbow. Actually two rainbows are showing and it was my first time to see two rainbows forming in the sky. Amazing! As we drove the 528, it was raining so bad for few minutes. We arrived home safely and guess what? Our place is so dry.

The reigning Miss World 2013 is Miss Philippines Megan Young. We, #Filipinos are so proud of her. According to the Full Country Rankings for Miss World, the Philippines ranked #19 and this year, Miss Philippines finally got the title of Miss World 2013. In the history of Miss World, Philippines has 2- First Runner Up; 1 Second Runner Up; 3 4th Runner Up; and 8 Semi-Finalists.

Look at Megan Young, she is so regal, don't you think? Truly deserving as Miss World 2013, beauty and brain.

These beauties are the Top 10 Model and Megan Young came out as the winner.

Poise, confident, beautiful and her personality shines on the catwalk.

Megan Young is really down to earth and a caring person according to her friends in high school. A genuine friend they said because Megan Young still finds time to communicate to them despite her busy schedule. What a pleasant personality she is.

She is such a beautiful lady inside and out.

To Megan Young, Congratulations! We are so proud of you.

Relaxing by the Garden

Yesterday, as I watch the NFL in my iPad at the gazebo, I was looking at the bare space by the wooden fence. I was thinking of planting okra. My okra seedling is growing and I will plant them on that side by the fence on the weekend. Hubby loves Okra and I am not a fan of slimy vegies. Okra is certainly not my favorite.

By next week, I will start growing my seedling for bokchoy (pechay). One plant at a time because I am not too thrilled to visit my garden since Summer. Too hot to hang out at the backyard but, it's September so; expect that I will tend my garden more often. Can't wait for cool weather here in Florida.

Plan a Vacation for the Family

Are you planning to have a holiday vacation? If you are working so hard to provide for your family, you need a week or two to enjoy a quality time with them. Take a break from the hustle and bustle in the city and away from your work. Book a vacation away from the city and start looking for Holiday Houses in Queenstown, New Zealand.

Would you like to wake up with beautiful scenery like the photo below? This place is surrounded with mountains and located in a resort town in Otago and the lake is called Wakatipu, an inland lake along the South Island in New Zealand. This lake is the country's longest lake and the habitat of longfin eel, trout and salmon to name a few. If your family loves fishing, this place is ideal for that activity.
If you plan for a vacation in this location, activities will be aplenty such as paragliding, bungy jumping, tramping tracks, and more. Did you know that Queenstown and the surrounding areas were used in the filming of the Lord's of the Ring? Not only that, this place was also used in the movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Anyway, book your reservation right here and enjoy the breath taking view every day.

There are instances that vacations turned ugly like one member of the family got sick because of the weather. Do not worry because this place is not away from the civilization in fact; shopping center is just nearby. If untoward incident happen like all of a sudden, you got a toothache. The  dentist tauranga nz will be there for you so; there is nothing to worry. Check out this place now and do not worry for anything else.

Do you like pets? There are Puppies For Sale in New Zealand which are cute so; would you like to buy? What breed would you prefer? I like Shih Tzu, Chihuahua and Airedale Terrier Puppy. One of my friends has a Chihuahua. It was super cute and tiny. I like his hair color which is brown.

Anyway, when you plan a vacation and you have a pet, you should hire a sitter. Make sure that they are from a reputable company. That way they can take care of the puppy the right and professional way.

Dolphins by the Indian River

After the mass last Sunday, hubby and I took the route in NASA Parkway and we then went to the boat dock along Port Saint John to watch the dolphins or manatee.

Luckily, we saw 4 dolphins swimming near the riverbanks. I wish they would jump but, they were just swimming towards the lagoon.

Only the fins were showing as they swam further away from where we were.

Hubby and I watch them for few minutes.

I tried to zoom my camera hoping to capture a nice photo but, these all I got. I am happy with all these photos.

Flip Video Recorder

Ever since I got this Flip video, I only used it less than a dozen. This was given to me for Free for a video blog opportunity for Microsoft. I like it but, I am used to using my Blackberry camera for video taking. I decided to give this to my brother.

The opportunity includes an Office Home and Business 2010 software and a good $ payment. Almost three years ago that was and this video cam is still working great.

The package also includes this handy table tripod and I used this from time to time.

In fairness, I love this video recorder and accessory. I want my brother to keep this and I am sure, he will be using this most of the time. This maybe almost 3 years old but, it works great and and still in the box.
