For almost two years of attending Sunday masses on same time, parishioners usually seated on the same area every time. Like us, we are seated comfortably on the last pew. We recognized faces and most of the parishioners are really friendly but not to the extent of asking our names. Well, except for two, a Chinese lady and the man seated at the back. As we come in, we always shook his hands and say good morning.
One Sunday, as we headed to our seat, we shook his hands but, he stopped my hubby and asked his name. The next Sunday, he always addressed my husband by his name which is really nice. It might not be a big deal to some but for us, it feels great that he addressed my husband by his name. The man's name is Jack and he is a sports fan. He loves Football and Basketball. One time, he was talking to the usher about Football and Tim Tebow. His son, a heavy set and tall like him is always his companion and seated beside us most of the time. Jack is very friendly to everyone.
After the mass, hubby said to him, "See you next Sunday" and he replied, "I hope so." We all smile because usually, he would say, "Okay, see you next week".
We were worried for him and we hope he is in good health. May God bless you Jack.
Anyway, the quote above was shared by the musical director of the church. This is a reminder that we have the power to make a good deed. Do it today. God bless everyone.
