Sheloh Pepin: Sirenomelia

I found this video today and I was so inspired by the brave parents and the journey of this child. See the video in the channel of TLC in youtube. After watching the video, I was in desbelief how other people left harsh comments about her.

She is Sheloh Pepin from Portland, Maine and she is sick with a congenital deformity called Mermaid Syndrome or Sirenomelia. Her legs are fuze together so, the appearance would look like the tail of a mermaid.

One out of 100K and Sheloh is lucky to be alive for 10 years despite all odds. There were only 3 notable cases reported according to wikipedia.com who survive. They are Milagros Cerron born in 2004 from Peru, Tiffany Yorks born in 1988 lives in Florida and then, Sheloh Pepin born in 1999. She died in 2009 of pneumonia.

If other people loves to ridicule others, it maybe because of how they were raised by their parents or influenced by their peers. We can't change them and injecting our opinions on them is not a good way to help them. If you encounter bullies, ignore them and stay out of their way. Continue your life being a good example to others. Share your good example to others by showing RESPECT and HUMILITY.

Sheloh is in heaven now and she may be missed by her family and friends, she left a good memory and inspire others to be thankful every day.
