Bathroom Lighting Fixture

Few days ago, a friend asked me about the type of lighting fixtures I want in a bathroom. I told her that I fancy a sleek design and steel accents. We just bought a house and we are still in the process of renovating each space. We are done in the kitchen. I am happy to note that all appliances that we bought are made of stainless steel. Few of our friends did not like stainless steel appliances because they are not easy to clean. I opposed to that premise. The hand print can be easily removed using the right cleaner for stainless decors and of course with stainless appliances. Cleaning is no sweat at all!

The guest bathroom is halfway done. We have to buy a vanity mirror, few accessories and bathroom sconce lighting. Check out the photo above. That decorative wall lighting is really sophisticated don't you think? The glass bobeche accent has a translucent shade so; it will create a cozy ambiance in the bathroom. It does not reflect a bright light so; it doesn't hurt the eyes.

This unique design of sconce is one of the products sold at Waterworks. Their products are elegant and in high quality standard. You may check it out and for sure, you will agree. Waterworks company sells premium brand products for bathroom and kitchen. I have seen their beautiful selections of faucets, tubs, showers and bathroom accessories and they are indeed quality made.

Visiting Hannibal, Missouri : The Place of Mark Twain

If you are a bookworm, you know who Samuel Langhorne Clemens is. He is known by his pen name Mark Twain, the American author and known for his novels: The Adventures of Tom Sawyer in 1876 and the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn in 1885. I have read few pages of these novels when I was in College but, I never had the chance to sit down and finish both books.

Why he is the subject of my blog post today? Next week, we will be going to Missouri and Mark Twain grew up in Hannibal, Missouri. This place is the setting for Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer. My brother-in-law who lives in Missouri suggested that we should visit Hannibal. There are numerous historical places to see in Hannibal and mostly, related to Mark twain and those he mentioned in his novel. I am excited to see where he grew up.

Awesome Inspiration Sessions at Havertys

This post brought to you by Havertys Furniture. All opinions are 100% mine.

The most functional room in our home is the living room. We entertain our friends here, welcomed guests and watched our favorite football team on TV. The focal point of the room is the entertainment console where the Wii console has its own space, blu-ray player on the other corner and a 50" HDTV occupied the center of the console. Its a living room and media room dual functionality space in the house, and the favorite room that we hang out a lot. We have accessories being put up together  to make this room comfortable and fit our lifestyle. The products below are from Havertys and the ensemble can create an oasis when added to the living room. It is the kind of products that I would pick at Havertys which is just about 5 miles away from our place.

Havertys: Discover Something You offers 4 beautiful Inspiration Sessions started with Designing an Entertainment Space which is Now Showing launched last Sept 15. Their display of products are beautiful and stunning just like the picture below:

This is a man cave dream ensemble. The Electric Fireplace like the Marana Fireplace and entertainment console is the perfect option if you are considering using the basement as an entertainment space. Flame-like embers and an interior light create the look of a real flame while a thermostat controls the heat. It is much more attractive than a space heater right?

You should check Havertys in your place today. Watch out for other Inspiration Sessions on Oct.13 for Seasonal Escapes which is about Designing for Seasons; Nov.10 is Winter Colors which is Designing to incorporate Winter Colors and Dec.1 for Finishing Touches which is Making the Room Complete.

Beauty is Always in the Eyes of the Beholder

Beauty is a vague subject and it boils down to the premise that beauty is always in the eye of the beholder. In the notion of aesthetics, beauty differs significantly. No matter how appealing a person can be, it will be a superficial beauty when manners and good character does not exist. For now, let us look at physical beauty and how does a woman strive to stay pleasant to please herself and others.

Astronauts: $63 Million Fare Per Seat On Russian Spaceships

When my husband and I visited NASA at the Kennedy Space Center, we were surprised to see that some areas of NASA parking lot were occupied. There were quiet a few guests heading to NASA. All we thought was that, it will be a ghost attraction after thousands of employees were laid-off in NASA. At least, there were hundreds unlike before, it was by the thousands.

The shuttle program was forced to retire because it is too costly, according to the present administration. To lessen the US spending, the administration decided to cut the budget at NASA. The US President ALLOWS it to happen. The shuttle program has ended this year in BHO's administration. Thousands of skilled employees at NASA including scientists were laid off. It boomerang to the business establishments here and hundreds had closed down. Families? They lost their housing for they can't pay the mortgage. The lawn guy that we met who cut the grass in one neighborhood said, he had to find ways to support his family. Highly intellectuals in SCIENCE are now in lawn business. Heart breaking isn't it

Right now, if Astronauts had to travel to the ISS or International Space Station, they have to pay the Russian big amount of money. $753 million is the deal made by NASA to pay the amount to Russia for 12 round trips to the International Space Station.

Taking about BIG OUTSOURCING right? They should cut "other" spending not the SPACE EXPLORATION, for crying out loud!

That is almost $63 million per Astronaut. NASA has a dozen Astronauts on standby to travel on Russia's venerable Soyuz spacecraft. So sad huh? Source of this info? Visit space.com or nasa.gov.
