Inflation and Homeless

If you noticed in my Facebook Account, I took pictures of almost anything that I find interesting. Mostly, all the nice view of beautiful places and food. I seldom take pictures of a crowd and individual person because I just respect their privacy. I was reading the news today and one article caught my attention. In fact, I read the whole article up to the last stanza which was written by Kate Santich of Orlando Sentinel. It's about Joel Miller (picture above snipped from Orlando Sentinel) who works with the Central Florida Commission on Homelessness who is helping homeless people OFF the streets of Orlando and into Housing. I truly admire his dedication on his job considering he is doing a "one-man show". Searching for homeless is probably easy but, listening to their stories must be truly a heart breaker. Helping them to find a descent shelter is a long process and not an easy task either. That is why, I salute him for that inspiring spirit of doing what's need to be done!

Are there homeless in America? Yes, as a matter of fact there are so many and in Orlando alone, the number is rising due to the inflation. Economic problem is like a domino effect. Business closed-employee lost the job-no earnings-can't provide food on the table-can't pay rent- and so on. People NEED Job to get back on their feet.We have a beautiful park here in Orlando called Lake Eola. I saw on the news that some private sector are doing the initiative to provide FOOD for the homeless. I have been there and I saw groups of homeless people wandering around the park. Some elite complain about them though. They say, after they were given food, they don't throw their garbage properly making the park untidy. The last time I was there, it looks clean though. Anyway, I hope the local government will do something more to assist their needs. I also hope that the government will do something "SERIOUS" for the people! I bet, that won't be so, since presidential election is coming! What do you think?

The Royal Wedding

Did you wake up early to watch the wedding of Prince William and Kate on TV? I bet you did! I woke up late though so, I saw half of the event as it was broadcast live on TV. Kate's gown is simple, traditional and so elegant. She was so beautiful as she walked down the aile and Prince William looked so handsome as ever.My twitter/FB notifications was non-stop. Someone tweeted "Ok I admit it, I've been up watching. Got a bit sleepy after the whole "I will" part but the music was gorgeous. #RoyalWedding", the first message that I read on my phone. That, woke me up as I turned on my TV. I did saw the famous kiss on the balcony which the second was my favorite. I was holding my BB to capture the kiss on TV but, it was so fast LOL. It was a beautiful wedding celebration with a nice weather and a huge crowd. What an awesome sight!
It would have been nice if Princess Di was there, alive and happy. I don't care much of Prince Charles and Camila Parker. Well, that's their life right? Anyway, I hope Prince William and Kate will be married for the rest of their lives and stay in-love to each other forever.
I just can't help thinking why Prince Charles marry Princess Di when he was very much in-love with Camila Parker. Look at the face of Prince William and Kate, the aura of their personality reflects love and that is reason enough to settle down.
The newly wed: Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Self Denial

Have you ever heard someone who said "I am not a drama queen" but, unconsciously doing it anyway? Have you ever heard someone said "they never hated you", but they are showing it to you anyway? What would you do? If only there is a word that would convince them to believe that you are not a threat for them, you would say it don't you? What if you did tell them but, they are too arrogant to listen? Sigh...Sigh... Sigh... Just say a little prayer then and hoping everything will turn out okay.

The above video is LEO BUSCAGLIA, my favorite author. If you are in a dilemma...just listen.

Repeat of my Valentine's Steak Dinner

Guest post written by Rachel Bryant.

My boyfriend did the nicest thing for me for Valentine's Day, he fixed me a steak dinner! Maybe that sounds a little weird, but I would much rather have that than chocolate, flowers or even jewelry. Him doing that just proved to me how well we actually do know each other. I loved it so much that I decided that I would do something special for my boyfriend for his birthday and try to recreate that steak dinner with his favorite side dishes.

But, I want it to be extra special and surprise him, so I'm not asking him for his recipes. I went online to find my own recipes and when I was doing that I came across the site satelliteinternetbroadband.com. ! After I read through it a little bit, I decided to sign up for one of the internet packages I found on there for my apartment.

I've found most of the recipes for the things that I'm going to fix for the dinner, which is next weekend. I guess it will just be a little tougher to surprise him when he sees a lit grill on my patio.

Beautiful Blue Sky

I love watching the sky and see the different formation of clouds. It is fascinating to capture it as it changes from one form to another. If you pay much attention to it, sometimes it has animal forms, human figures and trees. On the first picture here, check if you can find a human figure wearing a hood :-)

The picture below was taken during the final flight of the Discovery Shuttle. The needle-like view was the path of the shuttle as it flew away from the earth.

Below is a picture of the sky beneath Disney's Hollywood Studio area. I remember the humidity and the warm dry weather at that time with temperature as high as 104. Look beautiful right? It was a very hot day!

This road leads to Disney World and look at the blue sky, so clear right? Florida is called the Sunshine State of the US and the weather here is very nice. Starting March though, the weather is muggy hot that sometimes you would wish to live in Canada:-)

Salamat ug dako :-)

Epcot in Disney

Epcot is another Disney World famous theme park and it's symbol is this round object. This place is located in Orlando Florida just few minutes away from my home really. I've been to Epcot once and did not able to see all the attractions. This is an awesome place to visit and unwind. Epcot is twice the size of Magic Kingdom.
This park has the fastest Disney attractions to gentle boat rides. There are also thrilling hang-gliding experience to interactive play areas that ignite children's interest. I have been to Future World attraction and it has focus on technological advancements, innovation and wonder. In Future World, they say ideas become reality. Awesome huh?Inside the Pavilions, you can find shops, attractions and restaurants that represent the culture and cuisine of these 11 countries: Mexico, Norway, China , Germany, Italy, United States, Japan, Morocco, France, United Kingdom, and Canada. During this time, Flower and Garden Festival is ongoing. This year it started March 2 up to May 15 and there are celebrities coming to grace the events such as my favorite Ahmed Hassan from HGTV's Yard Crasher.

Anytime soon, I will be coming to Epcot and visit the place to at least finish half of the attractions. How I wish my family and friends is here to accompany me.

Kini akong tampo karong semanaha. Sa letrang E, EPCOT, ang lugar nga sunod nakong paga adtoan..

High by Lighthouse

When you're close to tears remember Some day it'll all be over One day we're gonna get so high And though it's darker than December What's ahead is a different colour One day we're gonna get so high And at The end of the day remember the days When we were close to the edge And we'll wonder how we made it through the night The end of the day remember the way We stayed so close till the end We'll remember it was me and you 'Cause we are gonna be forever you and me You will always keep me flying high in the sky of love Don't you think it's time you started Doing what we always wanted One day we're gonna get so high 'Cause even the impossible is easy when we got each other One day 'we're gonna get so high And at The end of the day remember the days when we were close to the edge And we'll wonder how we made it through the night The end of the day remember the way We stayed so close to till the end We'll remember it was me and you. 'Cause we are gonna be forever you and me You will always keep me flying high in the sky of love (x2) High, high, high, high.(x2) And at The end of the day remember the days when we were close to the edge And we'll wonder how we made it through the night The end of the day remember the way We stayed so close to till the end We'll remember it was me and you. 'Cause we are gonna be forever you and me You will always keep me flying high in the sky of love (x3)

Road Trip To Port Canaveral

Hello everyone! What I have here are pictures that I took while we went to Port Canaveral, Florida. This place is the gateway to major consumer markets. Considered as one of the best leisure destinations in the coast of Florida. This place is located on the east coast of central Florida and offer cruise lines, cargo lines, shippers, businesses and vacationers. This place speaks of a first-class deep water port unveiling the uncongested setting and relaxed environment.Driving our way on this bridge going for lunch and here we are passing the Banana River. This place is so beautiful and a good place to go fishing and boating. It's only an hour travel from Orlando. This is where we go for swimming and hang out the beach.

Coffee Break

What's up people? Are you having a coffee break from all those tasks? As a blogger, I need to stretch my body from my "curled-sit position" for so many hours. I do that :-) I need a coffee break too once in a while to keep me awake especially when I did online tasks at wee hours! Dang! It's hard to keep our minds awake right? Nothing will come out from our brain as if it just shut down! So, to keep us awake, we need coffee breaks! What's in a coffee anyway? It always has an energizing effect for us, right? I am a moderate coffee drinker because caffeine causes my headache. Coffee can either causes headaches or helps relieve headaches. What can you say from your point of view?
This is my entry for letter K. Share some of your ideas people :-)
