About 20 minutes away from our place, we have few beaches that we can choose to go to. We were trying to explore further down South towards the Satellite Beach. As we drove down the South Atlantic Avenue, we saw quiet a few cars parked on the parking lot so; we decided to go and look at this place. Blockhouse Beach is clean and a nice beach to hang out. ,
Hubby enjoyed walking along the shoreline barefoot while I was having a comfortable siesta on my beach chair and taking some photos. If you are in Orlando vacationing, come to the Space Coast. The beach is just an hour away.
While hubby and I enjoyed watching the people swimming by the beach, a family of four came with their water sports gadgets. This is called stand up paddle surfing or stand up paddle boarding. I have seen people doing this sports right here in the space coast. This is an emerging global sport and believe to be of Hawaiian heritage. This is known to be an ancient form of surfing.
This sport is popular not only in the space coast beaches but, even in Indian River and Banana River, I have seen people doing the paddle boarding too. Some places have races held by the lakes, rivers and canals. We have those body of waters. The paddlers navigate river rapids (well, we don't have that though) maybe, in other places like Hawaii. Anyway, paddle boarding is done kneeling on a board and paddling with the hands yet, some are already using the paddle. Would you like to try this sports?

Are you looking for garden project ideas? I found one amazing and simple project to make this week, and I am sharing it to you. When I checked the list of amazing ideas from The Gro Project, I have to say that the Throw Down is the most unique of them all. For one, it is a project meant to be shared for friends and loveones. I remember one time, I recieved a wedding invitation with a seed in it. This Throw Down project is basically similar and I like the idea. Would you be willing to try this project? Check out the materials needed below:
Now, just follow these 5 easy steps: 1. Mix equal parts of potting mix, clay and seeds in your bucket. 2. Grab a handful and then roll into a small ball about 1/3' in diameter. Add water as needed. 3. Place the balls on a tray and dry them in the sun for a few days. 4. Wrapped them in cheesecloth to give away as a gift. 5. Throw down on the ground! Get them off to a good start by feeding them the LiquaFeed All Purpose Plant Food Advance Starter Kitand watering regularly. What an easy project isn't it?

It was a scorcher this week so; my husband and I decided to check out the beach after sunset. It was 6:00 PM when we head to Cocoa Beach and we were surprised to know that the parking fee was lifted off. We went in and thought we will not bring our beach chairs. We decided to just walk by the shore. I actually brought my two-piece if in case I'm tempted to swim. There were a lot of people who did their exercise, jogging and running along the shoreline. Some were picking up seashells.
It was already sunset and beach goers started to pack-up their things, ready to head home. We stayed there for two hours just walking along the shoreline and enjoying the sea breeze. The sea water is so cool when it touches our feet. Hubby is so white LOL and I am the opposite. The water is tempting but, I did not swim.
The Cocoa Beach Pier was crowded at that time. There were quite a few who are fishing while most of them are enjoying their beer at the Tiki Bar. Hubby and I thought that having a condo by the beach must be cool to have. Access to the beach is a walking distance. The sunrise here is really cool. One day, we will be here to catch the sunrise.
That is all for now folks. If you happen to visit Orlando for Disney/Universal Studio visits, check out Cocoa Beach area. This place is about an hour drive from Orlando.
We stayed on the outdoor yesterday. We went as far as the South Atlantic almost to the Satellite Beach. We have our beach chairs set up and just enjoying the breeze from the Atlantic ocean. I did not swim because the heat was a scorcher. After two hours, hubby and I decided to go to the mall and shop a little bit. We head back home and relax. After sundown, we went back to the beach and this time, we went to Cocoa Beach and stayed there up to 8PM.
While driving by the neighborhood by the river and canal that heads out to the sea, hubby and I thought that buying a jet ski is reasonable. We live 5 minutes away by the Indian River and on a Sunday, water sports activity is truly busy down the river and the beach. Some families went out for boating, jet skiing, fishing, water gliding, canoeing, kayaking and many more. Now, hubby is thinking to buy a jet ski, I love the idea for sure.
I was watching the news this morning as the lucky Florida woman finally claimed her $590 million jackpot winnings. That is truly a huge amount! She is 84 years old Gloria C. Mackenzie. She bought the winning ticket for the May 18 drawing. That draw was the largest jackpot in the lottery's history. Amazing! Her life and the life of her family will be change forever tremendously!
She bought a quick pick ticket at Publix Supermarket and according to her statement which she provided in the news, there was a guy standing in front of her on a queue but, he gave his spot for her. She lives in Zephyrhills, Florida and she will split her winnings to her son shown in the photo below. Did you know that under Florida law, the winner of the lottery cannot remain anonymous? Yep! So; if I win (hopefully in the next draw, LOL) you will know it from this blog.
Congratulations Gloria C. Mackenzie! May God bless you with good health so that you will enjoy your blessings. How about you?
IF YOU WIN THE LOTTO WITH THAT BIG AMOUNT, WHAT ARE THE THREE THINGS YOU SHOULD DO FIRST?
Here's mine: 1. Hire a lawyer 2. Hire an Accountant. 3. Make a list who to give/share the winnings.
Hey Mrs. MacKenzie, would you like to send me a Buick Enclave or Encore? Gosh! I can wish can't I? LOL Anyway, thanks for stopping by here. God bless you all. Stay out of trouble ^-^
