Gabby Douglas: Hair Bashing, Seriously?

She was just amazing! She made a record on Olympic Games 2012 being the first African-American and first woman of color in Olympic History to become an individual all-around champion. Gabrielle Douglas became the first American gymnast to win gold in both categories: Individual All-Around and Team Competitions in the same Olympics and take note, she's only 16 years old.I was so proud of her performance and she is just one petit lady with incredible athlete prowess. As I was watching the game, I was also busy with my Facebook chat and reading Twitter updates. Here comes the bashing of Gabby's hair from the "few" African-American who probably never accomplish anything in their lives. Seriously? The girl has just won an Olympic GOLD medal for crying out loud! I just admire her contagious smile; she's so confident in all her execution, amazingly poised and though her hair might not be perfect for "few" African-American so what? She made USA proud with her elegant performance in London Olympics. At 16, she accomplished more than most of us did! Enough with hair bashing, cheer and be proud of Gabby instead.
