How's your memorial day celebration everyone? Can't get enough of the holiday right? That's a three day vacation and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. Well, we had our advance holiday because we don't want to be in the middle of the holiday rush. Here's our share of the US piece of history.
Hubby and I went to Saint Augustine which is known to be the oldest city in the US. We wander around and visit the most important places sort of educational tour :-). During this time, we went to FORT MATANZAS which served as the look out to protect the inlet of Saint Augustine.

I pointed where we are heading and that's the Fort. We are just waiting for our ferry ride which will arrive in few minutes. The ferry ride is FREE!
We are already in the ferry at this time, can't wait to see the building.

I occupy this space for my blogging ( I need to work heheehe). The window is overlooking the poolside with jacuzzi spa and the whole area is pretty.
I am always checking how meticulous the cleaning staff in every hotel we stay in. The "cleaning staff" are doing the right job. I appreciate how they set up the towels like this.
The sinks are in a separate area adjacent to the bathroom. Both are in good size and clean. The moment we came inside our room, it smells clean.
I also noticed that the hand,face and bath towels are in 4 sets which is really great! Towels are fairly new and very clean. There is coffee maker, ice bucket, fridge, microwave and a bath robe available in our room.
The available room at that time of checked in was two queen size bed. So, we take it and I was glad because we had more space to lay my gadgets:-) The sheets smells clean!
When we went inside the resort, this is the mural design in one of the walls extending to the ceiling.
This resort is very clean and the price is just right considering the ambiance is truly wonderful.
Honestly, this is not the place we booked on line! When we saw the Beach Hotel, it looks old. But then again, we tried to check and ask the old lady that we should look at the room first. The counter is dusty and stinky hehehe. They have birds, dog that keeps on barking, and other animals. It is supposed to be a welcome area right? Anyway, we saw the room, OMG! Smells awful and we told the lady that we willl cancel our reservation. We paid $17, it's alright and move to this resort! The decision is GREAT! Our room smells good, smells clean and nicely set up!
Before I left to the US, my mother had an eye surgery. It was minor cataract surgery but, it was not successful so, she went blind in the left eye. It was hard to leave her with that condition so I had to ask my cousin to accompany her 24/7. My mother is very religious. She's a member of Charismatic, Lord's Widow, Divine Mercy, and Legion of Mary.

When she visited her hometown in Georgia, she was heart broken to see the tornado damage of Rossville last April 27, 2011. Here, she was crying because she recalled her memories of a school where she had some activities before.

Endeavour, one of two currently operational orbiters in the Space Shuttle fleet of NASA. The other is Atlantis which will be scheduled to launch in June or July. Its STS-134 mission was originally thought as the final mission of the Space Shuttle program but, the proposed STS-135 mission was approved therefore, Atlantis will be the final Space Shuttle to fly.
Today's launch is Shuttle Endeavours last flight from May 16-24, 2011. Here's the basic facts: Endeavour has 25 total missions with 48 total crews and it deployed 3 satellites. Though the weather changed to cloudy after it lifted from the ground, the amazing few seconds lift off was worth viewing.
We were at the airport and saw some guests in the Hyatt Hotel too, occupying the top garage area who were waiting for the Shuttle Endeavour Launch. The launch was quick as usual but, it's worth it.
Did you know that he is a Puerto Rican descent? His father was born in Puerto Rico with a Puerto Rican mom and an American Father. At 10, he learns to play the guitar and impersonate Elvis Presley. On his audition, he sang "Your Man" by Josh Turner and "Put Some Drive in Your Country" by Travis Tritt. My personal favorite which he sang was: "For Once in My Life" by Stevie Wonder.
Haley was born on September 9 and started singing at 8 years old. Her parents are both musicians and she has performed at the 2009 Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland with her high school's jazz band and at Harper College with the college's Jazz Ensemble and the Jazz Lab. During this time, love bug flights are in thousands that is why, cars like ours traveling inside the city or to another town would look so badly. This so called invasion is obvious in the months of April-May, August-September and December. According to the study, the lifespan of female love bug is 3-4days while the male is longer.
The love bugs can exist in thousands near highways and they die on automobile windshields, hoods, and radiator grills when the vehicles travel at high speeds. Look at the pictures on this post. If left for more than an hour the remains of love bugs become extremely difficult to remove.

I read the books of Saint Thomas Aquinas and it is basically the same as to asking questions and provide answers based from the Bible and facts from history. I still have that book and reads it when I needed spiritual enlightenment. In comparison to "Conversations with God", the author uses the "first person" mode of narration. That is the only set back for me because even though I believe that God loves me, words spoken doesn't inspire me completely
