I Have Nothing an Awesome Performance of Cheesa in the Voice

If in case you failed to watch the Voice last night, here is the awesome performance of Cheesa. All the judges love her as well as the crowd. But then again, the votes speaks volume. We need to cast our votes to make her win the VOICE.

I did my share, what about you? Cheesa is good and there is no doubt about that but, she needs our votes and prayers. Go Go Cheesa!

Send Flowers on Mother's Day

How do you honor your mom on Mother's Day? I have my ways and I am sure you did too. There are so many ideas to show gratitude to our mothers. It could be inexpensive or lavish, it really doesn't matter. The thought and your effort count the most. You might be planning to serve her a breakfast in bed with a vase of flower which is really sweet. If you can afford it, you can plan to give her a cruise certificate for two to Bahamas which I think is an awesome idea as well.

We do not need to spend so much money to show her how much we love her. However, if we can spoil our moms, why not right? Let us honor our moms in our own unique way. Our mother takes care of us and spent countless hours raising and loving us therefore, mothers deserve to have the acknowledgement.

After dinner, surprise her with gifts. Let the grand children hand her the gifts. That's simple but sweet to remember for sure. Bamboo Can Create a Good Backyard Ambiance

Speaking of Bamboo? Back in PI, my mom has a land property located in the hinterland. Part of the land is on uphill so; my grandparents planted bamboo. It's just sitting there and my uncle used some of it for the fence. He harvested some and sell them too. But, it's really affordable in the PI. Here in the US, you need to pre-order a bamboo products because it's rare. You can't just go to the store and buy it right away.Anyway, I have seen backyards with bamboo fences and they are really nice. It brings back memory of my childhood. I also saw backyards with bamboo plants used for division and it was nice for privacy purposes. We are still renovating the kitchen and did some fixes inside the house. When we moved in for good. We are planning to landscape the backyard and of course, bamboo plant will be one of the plants we will be ordering.

I woke up to a rainy Saturday morning; sadly the needed rain had ruined my plans for the day. My friends and I were going out for a picnic and a hike to relieve the stresses from the week. Once our plans were called off I had no clue what to do, I was too restless to clean the house once again. My kids were driving me crazy I locked myself in my bedroom to a good show of criminal minds on Des Moines direct tv. I dosed off into a dream watching the horror story of a daughter that got kidnapped. The T.V in the background of my sleep awoke me into great fright. I got up and locked all of the doors, my kids thought I had gone insane. I had freaked myself out way too much to care a lot about what they thought about how I was acting. My television had made my day extremely interesting and mind boggling.

The Final Ride of the Discovery Space Shuttle

Hubby and I woke up at 6AM and started the day early. We wanted to see the world's greatest piggyback ride of the space shuttle Discovery. We stayed on the boat ramp on our main street along US 1 just across the Kennedy Space Center area. For the naked eye, the sight of the orbiter back riding the Shuttle Carrier Aircraft is really amazing.Just click on the pictures to zoom in.The view of the Indian River is truly wonderful this morning. The sunshine was hidden by the thick clouds. The weather was nice and cool but, it never change a thing.....the Discovery has retired.In this area, we are less than a hundred but, the whole parking lot was occupied. Besides, not too many people come to Kennedy Space Center to witness this big event.When the Boeing 747 left the Kennedy Space Center, it fly over Cocoa area and came back to KSC for one last time. It was flying so low and it was a surreal experience. Anyway, NASA has offered Discovery to the Smithsonian Institution's National Air and Space Museum for public display and also preservation. Discovery will replace Enterprise in the Smithsonian's display at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Virginia. Discovery was transported to Dulles International Airport today, and will be transferred to the Udvar-Hazy on April 19 where a formal welcome ceremony is planned.

Kennedy Space Center at Port Canaveral

Tuesday Travel once again and I thank you for your comments and visit on my entry last week. Have you been to Florida? If not, you should check out Port Canaveral where Kennedy Space Center is located. We bought a new house and we are only 15 minutes away from NASA. We can actually see one of the big buildings of NASA from the main street of where we live.

This is the Rocket Garden.

Isn't it humongous? This is the Apollo/Saturn V Center. This is a spacious facility featuring a real Saturn V rocket from the Apollo program. The Apollo/Saturn V Center is a tribute to the Apollo astronauts and the machines that got them to the moon and brought them home safely.

This is the viewing area ... to see the space shuttle on the pad. Well, it's just sad...space shuttles halted on this generation and on this administration. No more space shuttles ... people were laid-off from work ... businesses here are closed down. I just hope that the next President will support Science...and the projects of NASA. This is for the good of humanity. Next time, I will show you how a lively place here has turned to a ghost town.

Zimmerman Released on Bond

I got work load to attend to today so; I will share some updates later this week.

Have you heard about Zimmerman? Oh he was able to put the bail $150K and right now, he is out from the jail. I really hope that justice will be served. I stand in the middle of this hush hush. All I want is that the truth will come out and justice will be served. I just hope that they will not over-charged him. Because if they do, this will turn out to be another Casey Anthony case.

Jessica Sanchez Almost Did Not Make It

Jaw-dropping result right? Have you watch the American Idol last night? "Jessica Sanchez is one of the best singers in America ever" said Randy Jackson.



This is an awakening moment for us all. This is NOT about the "race". But being a Filipino, we should show our support by casting our votes for Jessica Sanchez every week. Votes matter a lot in a competition like this. If we want her to be the next American Idol, do your part. Judges can't save her all the time. We know that Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler believed in her but, it's not enough. Votes count a lot! So, let us all do our part. Good luck to Jessica Sanchez. Fort Matanzas

Hello Travel Tuesday travelers! How was your Easter Sunday celebration? Fun , I hope! Few weeks ago we travel to Castillo de San Marcos, here's another cool place to visit in Saint Augustine. Let us travel to Fort Matanzas which is less than 2 hours drive from our place. If you are visiting Orlando for Disney or Universal Studio parks, set aside a day and have a road trip to Saint Augustine. You will be enjoying the view of the beach when you travel the scenic route and it's absolutely beautiful.

There are so many things to do while you are in the Sunshine State. Of course, you probably would visit Orlando for the Sea World, Universal Studios and Walt Disney World but, you should visit Saint Augustine because it is the Oldest City in the Nation (USA).

Before you reach the old town, you will arrive Fort Matanzas first.

You will take the ferry ride accross the inlet and it's free of charge.

Chester M. McPhearson, Jr. Pier in Ocean Springs Mississippi

Hello Travel Tuesday hoppers. Thanks for the comments last week, I enjoyed reading them. Today, I would like to show you the view of the Gulf Coast. I took these photos while we were at Chester M. McPhearson, Jr. Pier in Ocean Springs Mississippi. According to my husband, he was the mayor in this city at one time and year's ago, he own a hardware store in the middle of the town.
That's me feeding the birds at sunset. Hubby and I love going on the beach which is just 5 minutes or less from the house.

There are so many birds here and people would come by to feed them. Birds and animals are protected so; no one is allowed to hurt them and definitely, no hunting in this area.

This beach is open for public and it is Free.

This is located in Beach Boulevard in the city of Ocean Springs right off the Highway 90. Oh, the beach is few miles long so; if you drive down the Gulf Coast, you would see this amazing view too.

We came here at the Pier to go fishing and crabbing. Sometimes, we move to the harbor.

That's hubby looking on the Bay of Biloxi and that building is the Isle Hotel.

There was a damage on this Pier during Hurricane Katrina so; they build them back that is why, it looks so new.

We pass by here every morning too right after I logged out from work. I work in the casino at night (graveyard shift) and by 7 am we pass here on our way home. A good area to see the sunset, sunrise and just have a picnic.

Lord I Know that Your Love is Healing

As long as you are not an Atheist, I know that this statement hold's true to you: "Lord I know that your love is healing".

We are only human and we feel pain. Sometimes, it is hard to undertand life especially when we are hurt and when problems are unbearable. But, when we contemplate and believes in God, we will be blessed with understanding that everything happens for a reason. Have a blessed Holy Week everyone.
